1.Administrative setup
The Inspector of schools Boudh –Kondhamal Circle looks after the General Administration of schools under school and Mass education Department in Boudh District. The District Inspector of Schools looks after the Elementary Education of Boudh District. A number of educational Institutions are established to impart education to the children of this District. 6. Elementary Education:
Government of Orissa has committed itself to have universalisation of Elementary Education in the State. For this, various steps have been initiated at the State and District level. Launching of Education Guarantee Scheme and Alternative & Innovative Education (EGS & AIE) in all the 30 districts in the State is one of them. The programme focuses on increasing access of schooling facility by way of opening of E.G.S Centres in the localities/ habitations where formal Primary Schools can't be opened as per State Government norms. For achieving the target of universalisation these centers are opened and made operational on the demand of the community thereby ensuring community participation and involvement in the field of primary Education within a specified time-frame. Like other districts of the State, Boudh is also included within the fold of E.G.S & A.I.E since last Two years.
A brief note of the activities taken up under the scheme of E.G.S & A.I.E in the district along with its achievement is presented herewith :
